Terms of Service

1. Introduction
Welcome to Vehicle Repair AI. By downloading, accessing, or using this application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
2. Subscription Terms
Subscription Service: Vehicle Repair AI is offered as a subscription-based service with the following terms:
- Subscription Duration: Monthly subscription (renews every 30 days)
- Price: $9.99 USD per month (or equivalent in your local currency)
- Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a free trial period as displayed in the app. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
3. Auto-Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
4. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Select Vehicle Repair AI
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to subscription features until the end of your paid period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.
5. Refunds
All charges for subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, please contact Apple Support directly, as all payments are processed through Apple's App Store.
6. Service Description
Vehicle Repair AI provides:
- AI-powered vehicle diagnostic assistance using OpenAI's language model
- VIN scanning for vehicle identification
- Repair guidance and troubleshooting recommendations
- Chat history to track diagnostic conversations
Important: Vehicle Repair AI is a professional tool designed for trained mechanics and automotive technicians. The service provides guidance based on AI-generated responses and general automotive knowledge, not real-time manufacturer data or parts catalogs.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Vehicle Repair AI only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated systems or bots to access the service
- Abuse, harass, or send inappropriate content through the service
8. Professional Responsibility
This app is designed as a diagnostic assistance tool for professional mechanics. Users are solely responsible for:
- Verifying all repair procedures and diagnostic information
- Following manufacturer service manuals and safety procedures
- Using proper tools and equipment
- Adhering to industry best practices and legal requirements
The app does not replace professional judgment, manufacturer documentation, or proper training.
9. AI Limitations and Disclaimer
Vehicle Repair AI uses OpenAI's language model to generate responses. AI-generated content:
- May contain inaccuracies or be outdated
- Is based on training data, not real-time automotive databases
- Should always be verified with manufacturer documentation
- May not apply to specific vehicle configurations or markets
Always verify AI responses with official service manuals before performing repairs.
10. Limitation of Liability
Use at Your Own Risk: Vehicle Repair AI and its developer, Karanbir Toor, are not responsible for any damages, losses, injuries, vehicle damage, or property damage that may result from using the app or relying on AI-generated guidance.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
11. Service Availability
We strive to provide continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Maintenance or updates
- Technical issues or server downtime
- Third-party service interruptions (OpenAI API)
- Force majeure events
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with or without notice.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email if contact information is provided.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Vehicle Repair AI at any time for violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or any other reason at our sole discretion.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
15. Apple's Standard EULA
In addition to these Terms of Service, your use of Vehicle Repair AI is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA), which governs all apps distributed through the Apple App Store.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms of Service and Apple's Standard EULA, Apple's EULA shall take precedence and supersede these terms.
